In the 1990s, FM200 was localized and named heptafluoropropane. At present, there are more than 200 enterprises engaged in the production of heptafluoropropane fire extinguishing equipment, but less than 10 enterprises produce fire extinguishing agents.
Although heptafluoropropane will not destroy the ozone layer, it has a strong greenhouse effect and will be replaced by more perfect and sophisticated gaseous fire extinguishing agents. Like Halon extinguishing agent, heptafluoropropane is only a passer-by, but there is no ideal substitute at present.
Since the birth of FM200 (heptafluoropropane) in the 1990s to around 2008, the price of heptafluoropropane has gradually decreased, with a flat range and stable supply and demand.
However, in the past 10 years, the price of heptafluoropropane has fluctuated violently, and there has been occasional out of stock. According to insiders, it is "demon every year" and "cramp several times" every year. From 2010 to 2011, it even set a record of more than five times in two months, reaching a high of more than 200 yuan.
There is a strange phenomenon in the heptafluoropropane fire extinguishing agent industry, that is, the price forecasts of gas fire extinguishing manufacturers are often "unreliable". In the first half of 2020, the price fell all the way, and the manufacturers predicted the bottom for many times, but it fell all the way to the end of the year, and Z finally fell by more than half; At the end of the year, the fire extinguishing agent showed signs of rising. Manufacturers predicted that the rise was limited and should tend to be stable. The result was a high song all the way. Until today, it has more than doubled!
Similar Oolong exists all year round, but it is by no means the manufacturer's intention, because there are too many unpredictable factors!
Undeniably, heptafluoropropane is quite excellent, and there is no ideal substitute at present. At present, heptafluoropropane is still a trend, and there are many irreplaceable inert mixed gas fire extinguishing agents (IG541, etc.). Therefore, heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing will remain the mainstream in the future. Relying on its strong fire extinguishing efficiency and stable performance, it will still shoulder the responsibility of carrying the banner of gas fire extinguishing.
